Day began with my singing in order to wake up Momma. I had weetabix with warm goat milk (Momma has heard that it’s better to help my eczema issues), followed by a
I really enjoyed dancing to the music and doing some singing along. It was fun to wave and smile at new people – and also great that Momma had remembered to bring something for me to nibble on – though I just simply couldn’t resist chewing up the notice sheet a little as well!
I went to the crèche upstairs a bit during the talk – they had good toys and I made some new little friends. After a while my teeth hurt me and I wanted Momma-cuddles. I was very good and sat on her lap (pulling faces at Sam) and eating a biscuit. At the end we also did some more singing and people seemed to love my dancing!
Had some roast dinner then Momma put me up for a snooze – but I didn’t really want to. So I came down and played. I’ve discovered a new party trick… I can use the chair to climb on top of the dining table!!! I did this while Momma went to the loo in order to surprise her – she didn’t seem very happy with my surprise. When I tried it again later in the day she liked it even less… obviously has no sense of humour and was muttering about my falling and hurting myself (she does not realise I am invincible super-toddler… silly Mummy!)
We did some colouring together, while watching the movie of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” on video. Then Grandma suggested we all go for a little walk round the village rec. This was great fun! I went down the slide a few times, and got a very wet bottom (as it had been raining) but Momma said we could get dry clothes when we got home. I did lots of roaring and running about; on the way I had to be on my reins so I didn’t run into the road (see earlier comment on mother’s lack of understanding about my ‘super-toddler’ attributes!) but in the field I could run about freely – I tried to chase Grandpa too!
Demanded to be carried home as I was quite tired – Grandma looked the most gullible for this trick (them not knowing I am super-toddler has its advantages sometimes!). On the way we met a nice doggy who’s owner said was friendly so I got to stroke her which was very exciting, and made me squeal!
For supper I had eggy bread and baked beans, and some goat milk from my cup. While Mummy made it I put my feet into Grandpa’s shoes and wore his hat, Grandma took a picture when I accessorised using her Audrey Hepburn handbag! By the end of dinner I was very sleepy and rubbing my eyes (maybe I should of taken the chance of the snooze). I went up for a fun splashy bath with Momma before getting into my pj’s and having a bottle. While I have my bottle we have storytime – Mummy’s been reading through the ‘Narnia’ books with me – we’ve recently started “The Silver Chair”. I enjoy listening to stories before I go to sleep.
Tomorrow I spend the day with Grandma as Mummy helps at school on Mondays, I think I get to go out to lunch with Grandma and her friend – so that will be exciting!
